My husband and I are trying to raise our children as bi-lingual speakers of English and Japanese.
The title of my blog, teaching bilingual kids, refers not only to my children but to other parents who are interested in bilingualism, and the parents of children learning English as a foreign language.
In Japan children are introduced to English at a very early age. Primary school, and very many pre-schools and daycares offer English classes in some form.
How to get your children to speak English is question that many mothers ask me. I hope that in this blog I can provide some answers to those questions and some advice to teachers teaching English to children and to the parents of bilingual kids like myself.
